I’m sure that a million things is going through Mom’s head; “What are we all going to wear?! Where are we going to take them?! Will there be enough Snow?!” But have no fear! I am here to give you some simple tips for your next family Christmas Pictures, and your Christmas card will be the best in the neighborhood.
Tip 1: Cloths
I’m sure wants all to look their best and all wear the matching, traditional Christmas colors, Red and Green. How about trying to mix up the colors so you all don’t look like siamese cats.
Try having some wear a dark green color, some wear a hint of red, maybe add in some black or white, and bring in a little gold, to keep it traditional. If you want a more rustic feel, try som tans, blush pinks, greys and whites. These colors will go great with Tender Tennessee Christmas.
Everyone loves Christmas sweaters, especially the ugly ones, so try to have everyone wear their favorite Christmas sweater! You could be the next Griswolds!
In Conclusion, everyone wants to look their Sunday best for pictures, but try not to overdo it. Add some different colors and patterns to the scene. It actually makes the pictures look more natural and flawless.
Tip 2: Location!
“Over the River and through the woods to perfect location we go!” Ok, you probably won’t be singing that on your way to the “perfect location”, your probably wanting to tear your hair out cause any location isn’t the perfect location. But it’s honestly not that hard.
Try going to tree lot. This is a very fun way to have family pictures cause who else are you going to see in a Christmas tree lot? A Family picking out the perfect Christmas tree. In addition, the snow on the green trees will ad a lot of cool color to your photo, and everyone will falling love.
Next, a barn is a really cool location for all you country lovers. If you add some pretty white lights to the barn background it will had really awesome lighting to your pictures.
Finally, a simple, decorated living room. This is another place where families gather, especially for Christmas. Have your photos taken by the decorated tree, maybe even some of your family decorating it. This scene gives a sense of warmth and comfort for all to see.
Tip 3: Have Fun!
As hard as it seems, you should really have fun with these pictures without running around like a Christmas turkey with its head cut off. These are called family photos for a reason, so put joy into them! They will turn out so much better, no matter the clothing or location, as long as the whole family can have a good time, and make this a Christmas memory that will last a lifetime.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
